black lives matter signFirst Church Berkeley is committed to address issues of racial justice and diversity through education, activism and prayer. The Diversity Ministry Team meets each month and initiates conversations and educational offerings. The Team also has a blog where they have published some of their reflections.

The ministers preach on these issues as well and other members of the congregation are involved in a variety of activities. The church is also committed to having a diversity of voices preaching at the church.
