Pilgrim Hall plans are beginning to take shape! The Blue Fire team met with our architects to provide direction for more detailed design work that will take place during the summer. We are still working with large blocks of space, rather than specifics, but we’ve agreed that classrooms will be clustered on the upstairs level near Dana Street; we are considering reorienting the library to face the courtyard; and we are evaluating different ways for the large and small assembly spaces to connect to each other. Now that we have more clarity on the insurance settlement, the architects are working over the next weeks to develop a more detailed floor plan and design specifications that fit our budget. We hope to have something to share with the congregation in September.
This is an important and exciting step in our progress, and it can still take 18 months or more for designs to be completed and permits secured
for construction. Watch this space for regular updates from the Blue Fire team, and in the meantime, please contact any member (Scott Sporte, chair; Leonard Ash, Roger Bash, Molly Baskette, Kara Korbel-Chinula, Lorenzo Llanillo & Moe Wright) with questions or comments, or write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
