Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. — Hebrews 13:2
The Ministry of Care, Fellowship, and Invitation (CF&I) is seeking volunteers to: continue bringing in a steady stream of plentiful homemade/wholesome food for coffee hour; welcome newcomers and long-timers as a greeter; and help set up or clean up at coffee hour. Many hands make deeper community! You can sign up on upcoming Sundays during coffee hour to help build our beloved community in these ways:
Food in Your Birthday Month
To help us celebrate our community all year long, please make, bake or bring in something special to share once or twice during your birthday month (and the birthday month of all in your family who come to church). Bread, fruit, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, homemade treats or anything at all! Put your offering on the table in the Social Hall before church, prepped and ready to serve. (A reminder while at Beth El: Vegetarian food, or chicken, to respect Kosher food laws. Absolutely no pork or shell fish.)
Make Soup Once a Month
A number of generous cooks in the congregation already are volunteering to anchor our weekly feast table but we could use a few more people to commit to bringing a big pot of something one Sunday a month. If you’d like to help, sign up with Rev. Kit: email@example.com.
Greet & Meet
If you have a warm smile and can arrive 20 minutes early, you’d make a great greeter! It’s a good way for newbies and families of all configurations to get involved. Sign up on Sundays or email Mike Casendino (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Sign up if you enjoy setting out food or are more of a clean-up-after-coffe-hour sort—monthly or as a one-off. As a bonus, you get to sport our new UCC aprons!
