In the lectionary text for the morning, God parts the waters of the Red Sea so that Moses and his crew can escape Egypt and the army that is chasing them.  This story comes up at a time when parts of the United States and islands in the Caribbean have been battered by hurricanes and flooding has been dramatic. The water around us is amazing—sometimes safe, sometimes scary. What is it like to be “under water” either literally or figuratively? What are the strategies that we can use when we are under water?
