Happy New Year to All. Our first event of 2020 is a shift at the Alameda County Food Bank on Tuesday, January 7 – 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
If you haven’t already confirmed that you will attend, please let Ann ([email protected]) know ASAP so that I can give a final count to the Food Bank in advance of our arrival.
We will great a break midway through the morning, so bring a snack if you like. Here are some reminders from the staff at the food bank:
- Shoes that cover your entire foot are required, preferably sneakers or boots. Dressing in layers is recommended since our warehouse is not climate-controlled.
- Please arrive promptly at the start of your shift (8:30a) We are located at 7900 Edgewater Drive in Oakland (we are NOT in Alameda). Please come to the building at the back of the property; it’s labeled Community Engagement Center and has an orange awning.
- Parking is available in the back to the right of the orange awning. (Please drive slowly through our parking lot, for everyone’s safety.)
Those who can are invited to gather at the Emeryville Market for a lunch of your choice.
Hope to see many of you!
