Art Meets Life Sunday: Special Guest Aisha Tyler!

Sunday, October 11, 10 am

As part of our sometimes series bringing in journalists, artists and other luminaries to talk about the spirituality of their work and how to persist in hope through hard times, we are thrilled to welcome comedian and actor Aisha Tyler to worship on Sunday, October 11!

You may know Aisha from her roles as Lana Kane on Archer, a season regular on Criminal Minds, the host of the improvisational comedy series Whose Line is it Anyway?, a former host of the daytime talk show The Talk, or her breakout role long ago on Friends in a love triangle with Ross and Joey. Aisha is an Oakland and SF native, raised by politically active parents who also had a bent toward Hinduism and Buddhism. She also happens to be Rev. Molly’s best friend from college, where they cofounded a social-justice-driven a capella group, The Rockapellas, and stayed up many late nights arguing good-naturedly about politics and religion.  They’ll reprise their role as best friends and sparring partners during the sermon time.

Please invite friends, coworkers and others who may be Aisha fans to worship with us on October 11! You can use this facebook event link: https://fb.me/e/3IAREBuHR

If you have any burning questions for Molly to ask Aisha, email her at [email protected] and she’ll try to get it in!
