Blessing of the Animals Lawn Church

Sun., Oct. 2, 4 pm
Front Patio & Lawn, Dana St.

This Sunday we will celebrate the traditional festival of St. Francis, patron saint of animals, with a lawn church service dedicated to remembering and blessing our furred and feathered friends!

Show off your pet (or beloved stuffed animal), grab a blessing ribbon to decorate a leash or collar, and take a picture in our special photo booth! This is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors.

And if you’ve got a special animal you can’t bring—maybe your pet isn’t well-suited to crowds, or you had a beloved pet you lost, or your pet is home with your parents and you’re here at school—bring a photo to share and bless anyway!

New Firstie Jennifer Williams and her service dog in training, Dana, will be with us to talk about the many ways that dogs (God spelled backwards!) can bless us back.
