Did You Know…?

…that the First Church Berkeley community is invited to join members of Be Present, a national nonprofit committed to cooperative learning, joint action, shared responsibility, and mutual accountability, in celebrating their 30th anniversary on Sat., Oct. 1, 10 am to 2 pm in the Durant House? Julia Madore’s daughter Lulu has been part of this community for years. The group will gather in Durant House with others across the country via Zoom for a showing of our Social Justice Archives Virtual Exhibition, followed by a panel discussion. The theme for the events is: Black Women in Leadership: Building an Inclusive Movement.  Those in the Durant House will join Zoom on one big screen, or you can also join the event individually in your own homes by registering through Eventbrite. Contact Be Present Bay Area member Medea Pluim at [email protected]  with any questions.

… that on Sat., Nov. 5, you can attend the San Francisco Night Ministry’s Fundraising Drag Show with a group from First Church?  Reach out to Rev. Kelly for more info.
