Help Strengthen our Care for One Another

Postponed due to illness
Sun., Feb. 16, 11:45 am

In these challenging and frustrating political winds, it’s more important than ever that we strengthen the networks of care within our congregation.  Join Rev. Kelly after the service on Sun., Feb. 16 to launch the Circle of Care, our new lay pastoral care initiative.  We’re hoping to gather at least 20 people who are ready and able to do some visiting and supporting of congregation members in need of extra care.  We’ll offer learning opportunities quarterly to build skills for active listening, knowledge of common issues, and to share best practices for supporting people who are struggling or lonely.  Anyone can volunteer—whether you’re available for two visits a week or one visit a month, whether you’re ready for an ongoing supportive relationship or prefer a one-time visit, whether you’re up for deep conversation or just want to bring the kids for a quick mission of cheer.  We hope you’ll attend on Feb. 16 at 11:45 am in Loper Chapel to learn more and see how you might fit in to the Circle of Care.
