Homemade Honduran Food on Pentecost!

Sunday, May 23, 4 pm
At In-Person Lawn Church

Melissa, Keysi and Ashley

Not only will you be fed spiritually this Sunday afternoon at Pentecost Lawn Church outdoors on our campus (4 p.m.), you don’t have to worry about what to make for dinner! Melissa and Any, the two Honduran mamas our church is accompanying, are preparing homemade food for takeout. While they wait up to eight or nine months for their legal work permits to be granted as part of the asylum-seeking process, they have few ways available to them to pay for the basic necessities of life, and this is a key way we can support them.

You can help them and their children by purchasing to go meals this Sunday after Lawn Church, and at future lawn church events. Meals are $10 each and include rice, beans, cheese and vegetables, with meat as an optional add-on for the first 10 takers. You can pay for the meals in cash, by giving through your church Realm giving account, or via Paypal (“First Congregational Church of Berkeley” under Charities on the Paypal app, or on our giving page).

Muchas gracias!
