Are you interested in stepping more deeply into leadership at church, or already in the midst of it and crave more grounding? Do you feel awkward praying at the beginning or end of church meetings? Or need more ideas for intimacy-building icebreakers? Do you hate church conflict and want to learn better and healthier ways of managing difficult conversations, or reducing anxiety, particularly as we continue the Blue Fire visioning process? Or, the mother lode: do you recognize that every church conflict has its roots in older conflicts, particularly family-of-origin baggage, and want to demystify and disarm the conflict by managing your own self better, and in the process heal longstanding difficult relationships?
If any or all of the above apply, you are cordially invited to a Leadership Retreat hosted at church on Sunday, March 22 from 4-7pm by Moderator Julie Greer, Moderator-Elect Sara Woods, and various staff! We will practice praying together, play together with groupbuilding activities, and do a mini-deep-dive into family systems work that will make our life together as leaders more fruitful and peaceful. Yummy dinner served, and our time together will be followed by restorative Taize Worship LINK at 7pm for those who can stay.
ALL ARE WELCOME! Current committee and ministry/ministry team members are particularly urged to come, as well as longtime members not currently serving in leadership, and newbies who are curious or just want to benefit from the time together.
Please RSVP to Julie Greer at [email protected] by Tuesday, March 17 to be counted for dinner. Child care offered if it is needed.
