New Mental Health Caregivers Group

Fourth Tuesdays – June 27, July 25, Aug. 22 – 12 noon to 1 pm
Sanctuary

The reality of living with, caring for and loving someone suffering from a mental illness is that it affects our own mental health and functioning. We are forming a new group for folks in our community who are caring for someone with a mental illness (spouse or partner, child, parent). We will meet monthly for mutual support, advice-giving, and resource-sharing as appropriate, spiritual focus and theological reflection. This will be a confidential space aimed at strengthening us for the calling of caregiving through sometimes very stressful and debilitating times. Group members will take turns gently leading each session.

For the moment, we will meet in person in the Sanctuary on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 12-1 pm, including June 27, July 25, and August 22 (BYO brown bag lunch!). For more details or to RSVP, email Kathleen Cooney, who will gently gather the group in June at [email protected], or Rev. Molly at [email protected].
