We have a new venue for our historic Fall All-Church Retreat! While we will miss the loveliness of St. Dorothy’s Rest, it was not kind to folks with mobility issues, and didn’t have a big enough whole-group gathering space.
We have booked Monte Toyon Retreat Center in beautiful Aptos for this year’s retreat. Families will find it more affordable: children under 5 are free, and children 6-11 are half price.
Because of the size of our group, we had to book exclusive use of the property, which means we are committed to staying for two nights (no day-only or single-night option—this is the only way we can come close to balancing the budget on the retreat. Some scholarship funds will be available).
We will sing, eat s’mores, play and pray with scripture, build trust on the ropes course, stay up late playing run around games, or bonding over board games and deep talk. We’ll do crafts, eat great food, eat even more great food, and experience the wonders of God in nature and in other humans.
We are asking you to bookmark the whole weekend on your calendars for this high-joy, deeply spiritual intergenerational bonding experience! This opportunity only comes once a year. Don’t miss it. What the world–and you–need right now, is more of this kind of love!
