Staffing Path Forward

We offer Reverend Kit our best wishes as she and her family prepare for a return to the East Coast in July, and we offer our support in their transition. With Reverend Kit’s upcoming departure, we have developed the following approach to our staffing needs. We are pleased that Reverend Kelly will move from 80% time to full time for the time between Reverend Kit’s last day on July 11 and Reverend Molly returning from sabbatical on August 23. We are also pleased to extend Reverend Kelly’s engagement from September 2021 through August 2022 at 80% time. Working at 80% time allows Reverend Kelly time to work on her dissertation, with the possibility of moving to full-time work when her dissertation is complete. This will allow us, as a church, time to decide on a preferred longer-term path beyond August 2022 (for example, Reverend Kelly becoming a permanent, settled staff member, or the church engages in a search activity), and a process by which we can make this decision.
