Did You Know…?

…that Dorit Dorenz of Netivot Shalom along with other synagogues and organizations invites members of our community to Shabbat Bring Them Home event to support the return of the hostages taken by Hama? This commemoration takes place Fri., Nov. 10 from 12-4:30 pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. park, opposite Berkeley High School. There will be tables set up with chairs for every hostage taken by Hamas on Oct. 7 and pictures of each hostage on each chair. Several Rabbis, from Congregation Beth Israel, Temple Sinai in Oakland, Chabad Berkeley, and Beth el, will be joining and Rabbi Chai will do the concluding ceremony before Shabbat officially starts at sunset. Representatives of the Berkeley City Council will also attend. Our support is greatly appreciated.

…that Chora Nova opens its 2023-24 season under the baton of guest conductor Derek Tam, performing Bach’s Magnificat in D Major and the Credo (Symbolum Nicenum) from his Mass in B Minor?
