…that sharks can detect electricity? They use a specialized organ called an ampullae of Lorenzini, which is essentially a series of super sensitive sensors that detect the electrical impulses generated by other fishes and animals. The ampullae even pick up on the Earth’s electromagnetic field, allowing sharks to navigate the expansive ocean.
