…that when school is out, food insecurity is in? Many families depend on the meals and snacks served in schools to nourish their children. When school is out, this resource may be hard to replace. While some sources of food for children are not always reliable, the Berkeley Food Pantry (BFP) is available year round. The iron-fortified cereals and smooth peanut butter we gather every Sunday in the Hall of Entrance for the Berkeley Food Pantry (BFP) are versatile and widely accepted. We support BFP because it promotes a connection between us and our hungry neighbors and fills the gap between BFP’s limited resources and the needs of the people they serve. Please also consider bringing in clean paper grocery bags – BFP needs those bags as well!! Birtukan or Mary are there to answer questions.
