As you know, Rev. Kit Novotny is moving back to the East Coast! Through the past six years of Open Chapel and other Young Adult events, Rev. Kit has helped foster this community and we want to celebrate her before she leaves. Of course, you’re also invited to participate in the larger church events celebrating Rev. Kit: Sunday, July 11th, the 10 am online service and the 4 pm Lawn Church gathering. But we wanted to celebrate Kit’s focus on young adults by gathering as a YA community, too.
So Saturday afternoon is your chance for First Church young adults and friends to meet up in person, eat and drink, share stories, catch up, and tell Rev. Kit how much she has meant to us and how much we wish her well! We’ll gather in Rev. Kelly’s yard–you can come straight in by walking up the driveway and past the detached garage! Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood, or easily reached by public transit.
We’ll stay mostly outdoors but you are welcome to use the restrooms indoors. Bring your favorite memory of Rev. Kit’s ministry at First Church, or if you’re new, come ready to meet other young adults and make some new friends.
