It’s official! In February 2025 we are celebrating our church community’s 150th Anniversary, the Sanctuary’s 100th Anniversary, and finally being in our beautiful new Community Building!
The save-the-date info has already been sent to the First Church Diaspora (aka members and staff who have moved away or moved on).
So mark your calendars, tidy your guest room, and start planning your potluck offering for the First Church Love Feast, to be held on the weekend of Feb. 15 & 16, 2025!
Host Families willing to lend their spare bedrooms for two or three nights are needed – and feel free to express a preference for the diaspora member of your choice!
The first official event is the Prom on Sat., Feb. 15, 5 to 9 pm, all ages welcome in our new building: with buffet and dancing!
For that we will need a Feast Committee – a small group to work out what we’ll eat, anything from DIY Trader Joe’s hors d’oeuvres to formal light catering – and a Decorating Committee – let’s make the new space feel prom-worthy!
Sun. morning, Feb. 16, is the Celebration Service with epochal preaching and a lavish All-Church Potluck of your very favorite treat, hot dish, salad, you name it, all launched from our fabulous New Kitchen. A Potluck Committee might help here!
