Prolific, iconic Christian singer-songwriter, Alameda neighbor and UCC friend Ken Medema will be with us again for a Learning Hour. Ken, born blind, began to create stories and music at the age of 5, and often works improvisationally, turning trauma into sacred text at the drop of a piano key.
On Sunday, March 28 at 12:15 pm, Ken will lead the adult learning hour after worship. Ken with typical warmth and enthusiasm, will invite 4-5 people present to tell stories about what this year has meant to them, and what the learnings of COVID and adjacent crises and pandemics have been. He will then improvise a song based on each story, to help us all turn life into art, and metabolize the transformation we are being called to.
