Our church has been invited to participate with several area synagogues in a canvassing trip to Nevada on behalf of Planned Parenthood of Northern California. If you believe in reproductive autonomy and want to put faith words to your convictions on behalf of this historic election, consider joining our group! The trip will take place Sun., Sept. 22 – Tues., Sept. 24, and will include training and 1 or 2 canvassing sessions.

Current Schedule:
Mon., Sept. 23:
- Arrive in Reno by 12 pm (you can travel either Sunday afternoon or early Monday morning)
- Lunch and training at 12 pm
- Canvassing during the afternoon
- 6:30 pm Debrief
- Dinner
Tues., Sept. 24:
- Breakfast and refresher 9 am
- Canvassing until 1 pm
- Lunch and Depart Reno on own
Cost & Logistics:
The registration fee for this trip is $25, which will include lunch Monday and other incidental costs for this trip. Hotel, transportation, and other meals (including Monday dinner) are not included.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the SureStay Plus Best Western for $119 per room, ($136.47 including taxes and fees). The training will take place at the SureStay. Breakfast is not included, but there is a restaurant at the hotel. To reserve a room in our block, please click here.
If you would like to carpool – either to drive others or to be driven – please indicate that in your registration form. If you choose to fly to Reno, the hotel is next to the airport. Please let us know so that we can be sure there are seats in vehicles for when we canvass.
Please be sure to bring comfortable shoes as we will be doing a lot of walking! Also, as this is unaffiliated with any candidate or political party, please refrain from wearing such merchandise.
