We welcome our newest members who joined the First Church community on Sunday, June 14.
Nancy
Nancy grew up attending a congregational church in NY. Nancy was led to First Church Berkeley by her reading of Molly’s devotionals in the United Church of Christ (UCC) Daily Devotional emails. She lives and works in Martinez with her husband of 17 years, Dave.
Suzanne
Suzanne lives in El Cerrito on a half-acre farm. She has a teenage son and works as a child & family therapist. This is her first church.
Megan
Megan was born in Kansas, grew up in Sonoma County and came to the Bay Area by way of Ireland and Arizona. She loves books and edits them for a living, and likes making friends with the neighborhood crows. Joey was born and raised in Kentucky and has three siblings.
Joey
Joey has a master’s degree in furniture making and loves to make tables and clocks. Joey’s job is managing a makerspace at UC Berkeley. Megan and Joey are the parents of Yosha (10, who plays guitar and clarinet and uses they/them pronouns) and Riley (6, who can transform into various animals and uses he/him pronouns).
