Deborah Lee, Executive Director of the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity (IM4HI), will be at First Church Berkeley offering a reflection this MLK weekend on Dr. King’s speech “A Time to Break Silence” and the work of IM4HI. Recently returned from a Pilgrimage to Heal our Communities, which journeyed to all the remaining immigration detention centers in California, Rev. Lee will connect the dots between immigration, incarceration, and the current war in Gaza. How do we listen to God in these times? Beyond the despair, what are the seeds of a transformative and radical vision for thriving communities?
