Associate Minister Rev. Kit Novotny and her family are looking forward to welcoming their second child at the beginning of September (due date September 2)! Kit’s last Sunday with us this summer will be August 2. Her Parental Leave will begin on August 3 and extend through December 13 (supplemented with some remaining sabbatical leave).
During her leave, Kit’s roles and responsibilities will be covered primarily by our new Acting Associate Minister, Rev. Kelly Colwell. When Kit returns in December, she will come back at reduced hours (20 hrs./week, down from 32 hrs./week) to allow for more flexibility in this intense season of early motherhood.
Kit wants to express her heartfelt gratitude to the congregation and especially to the Personnel committee and Staff for working collaboratively to make this generous leave and creative staffing plan work well for both her family and the community.
