We would love to provide opportunities for our church community to deepen connections with one another through our Summer Small Group Program (now in its 4th year) and, for the first time, in a virtual format. Because of the CoVid-19 crisis and the reality of physical distancing, many of us long for more connection and intimacy.
Would you consider hosting a small group this year? Groups can be centered around an interest area such as music, poetry, documentary films, fiction and/or nonfiction, self-care strategies, cooking, etc. Each host will be provided tools and support in structuring their group to facilitate conversation and nurture connection among participants. Expectations for hosts include: work with Louise Halsey to write a short blurb (for the Carillon) about your group, lead 3-6 gatherings of your group between July and August, gather for a Zoom check-in meeting in mid/late June and a debrief of the experience in early September via Zoom.
Please contact Louise ([email protected]) if you’d like to host and/or if you have questions about this program.
