Third Annual FCCB DIY Triathlon

Sat., Sept. 7, 9 am
Alameda

Join us for a fun morning of swimming, biking, and running (or any combination thereof) OR socializing with other First Church friends while cheering on the swimmers, bikers, and runners on Sat., Sept. 7 at 9 am at the Encinal Boat Ramp, Alameda.

This is a VERY informal, low-key event, DIY triathlon, great for those interested in testing out a triathlon for the first time, for those who want to push themselves to do it fast, or for people simply wanting to move their bodies while enjoying the camaraderie and the Bay views. You may choose to do the event in its entirety or as a relay with family or friends participating in different sections.

The full route is ¼ mile swim, 14 mile bike ride, and 2.5 mile run, although each leg is an out-and-back segment so you can turn around and shorten your route at any point. There are Bay views almost the entire route. We end with a potluck picnic at the starting/ending point.

There is no cost and no registration required, but if you are considering participating, please let Ann Naffziger know so she can send you more details: [email protected]
