Have you noticed the signs designating the last few rows of pews for Families? And the activity and book shelves in the back corner? We at First Church love our children and families and we are continuing to find ways to include them in worship as families return to church after being away because of COVID. In this phase, parents can sit in the pews and take a restorative breath or two in worship while their kids settle down on the floor a few feet away. It’s easy to exit to the Hall of Entrance (formerly the Gurgling Gallery) as needed AND easy for kids to make their way down in front for the Children’s Moment.
Would you like to help with the children during the service—without even leaving the Sanctuary? The Families, Children & Youth Ministry (FamChY) is looking for some helpers to be with the children in our new Amen Corner on the occasional Sunday.
