Did You Know…?

…that you can participate in low-cost Career Coaching Workshops this month and next at the Berkeley-Oakland YWCA? Read more here.

…that grocery bags are needed? Clean paper grocery bags with handles are greatly appreciated at the Berkeley Food Pantry (they help get the nine complete meals worth of food home to those who need emergency groceries, including our donations of smooth peanut butter and breakfast cereal). Heavy plastic grocery bags are appreciated at the Trinity Center of Walnut Creek. Please drop off your bags at the cereal and peanut butter table in the Hall of Entrance on Sunday mornings. Thank you!

…that First Church friend Monika Eisenbud is offering free housing in a single-family home in Berkeley in exchange for some companionship for her disabled daughter? Read more here.

…that Carole Wells-Desin, one of our former First Church librarians, is now sorting through boxes of library books, which have been stored in the church basement since the Sept. 2016 fire? You’re invited to take the books we aren’t keeping. Look for this Book Cart on Sunday mornings in the Hall of Entrance.
