A message from Rev. Kelly
Sheryl and I are thinking we’ll go to this event we just came across! Sorry for the late notice, we just learned about it, but thought we’d invite folks just in case you want to get a little more pride on this season. It’s a drag-themed event at Children’s Fairyland in Oakland this Sat., Sept. 10. From the description: “See the park transformed in a cascade of queer magic as your favorite Fairyland characters come to life through the artists of Oaklash, the Bay Area’s drag and queer performance festival. Tisket-aTasket: FairyProud Pride Night is an immersive evening boasting DJs, dancing, beer, wine, food trucks, and a whole lot of PRIDE—don’t miss out!”
It’s not kid-friendly this time, 21+, unfortunately, but it sounds too intriguing to miss. We won’t do a big group ticket order for simplicity—just grab a ticket if you want to join. I think we’ll try to enter around 7, and we can hang around the entrance for a little while (maybe until 7:15 or 7:20?) if anybody wants to join us, or feel free to text me if you’re coming and want to know where we’re at.
Also, save the date because I really want to get a group of people to attend the San Francisco Night Ministry’s Fundraising Drag Show together. It’s Nov. 5 at 5 pm and I think it would be an absolutely fabulous way to show some support while having a great time!
