Christmas bells and holly sprigs

Special Music in December

Sundays, Dec. 10, 17, & Christmas Eve

The tradition continues as December is full of special music! This Sun., Dec. 10, Ancora—the treble ensemble of the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir—will join us during our 10 am worship service in the Sanctuary for a morning of memorable music.. Our own Bell Choir will also perform “Carol of the Bells” during the postlude.

Then on Music Sunday Dec. 17, plan to come early for a Carol Sing from 9:40 to 10 am. There will be wonderful music throughout the service, including “Good King Wenceslas” performed on steel drum and piano by Lee Heuermann and Danny Bittker; the Sanctuary Choir singing the lovely “Prepare a Manger”; Amar Khalsa featured in a special piccolo number and Elizabeth Forsyth playing a rousing “Angels We Have Heard on High” for the organ postlude. Come and sing the congregational hymns, including “Gabriel’s Message” and prepare to be uplifted by music that will make you smile.

And of course, there’s plenty to savor on Christmas Eve… our All-Ages Christmas Eve service at 4 pm in the Sanctuary with carols and an all-age reenactment of the Nativity. And, at 8:30 pm don’t miss our special Christmas Eve concert with Amar Khalsa on the flute and Elizabeth Forsyth on the organ before the 9 pm Service of Candlelight & Carols.
