The California Energy Commission has said we need 3x more solar and 8x more solar storage to meet our state’s clean energy goals. But rooftop solar is on the ropes in California because of a string of reckless decisions made by the CA Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) at the behest of the utilities. Thankfully, a group of state legislators have proposed a series of bills to fix the situation and get rooftop solar growing again. Cailey Underhill with Solar Rights Alliance will join us again for a Learning Hour on Sun., April 21. She’ll walk us through how we got here and what we can do to help pass the bills to get rooftop solar growing again in California.
