The City of Berkeley has started the renovation of Dana Street from Bancroft to Dwight Way. As you can see from the sign the work will be conducted from now until the middle of June, 2024. This means there will be congestion on Dana, and many things will change. A protected bike path will now run on the West Side (Church Side) of Dana. All the parking spots on the West side will be removed. Parking will shift to the East Side where available. Dana will become one lane. AC transit will be making changes to the bus stops. When we met with the City planners four years ago, we were told they would remove the AC bus stop at Durant and Dana, and replace with one loading zone, and one disabled parking spot. This will be the closest access to the main church entrance.
