July 10 Learning Hour: Understanding How to “Read” Architecture

Sun., July 10, 11:45 am
Loper Chapel

This Sunday’s Learning Hour will focus on learning a technique to “read” architecture – to understand its design intention and better appreciate its beauty. It will include a brief summary of the methodology, looking together at three to four case studies (Taipei Performing Arts Center, Sydney Opera House, California Academy of Sciences and Seattle public library), followed by some discussion and exercises, and (if there’s time) a deeper dive into architecture and art theory.

Presenter & church member Zhekun Luo holds a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, and studied architecture at UC Berkeley.
