Our November 8th Learning Hour will focus on the Poor People’s Campaign (PPC), its purpose, history, and how to get involved with the campaign.
This campaign/movement, chaired by William Barber and Liz Theoharis, builds on the ideas of Martin Luther King. It addresses policies that support the needs of poor people, including a focus on racial equity, poverty, and ecological factors.
Our speaker will be Rev. Rowan Fairgrove who has been volunteering with the PPC since 2018, and is part of the Bay Area PPC Faith Leaders Outreach Working Group.
